The Highly Skilled Migrants Program (HSMP) & the General Highly Skilled Migrant (GHSM) are the two similar categories for the entry to UK. It is basically allowed for the people with the sought after the skills to enter UK. Similar programmers are to run in Australia & Canada.

The HSMP was established in the 2002 but since had the lot of changes. Now there is tier 1 visa, careers point systems in the place. Now to considered entry in the UK under HSMP a person will need to gain some point. To able to enter for the UK on the either HSMP or the General Highly Skilled Migrant they need to score the minimum of the 75 points. These careers points are essential for showing that they have enough to seek after the skills wanted & needed in UK. Failure for gaining these points means them application for moving the UK which will reject.
The distinction between the HSMP & the GHSM is the fact that the General Highly Skilled Migrant in sub-category a person can no longer repeatedly gain the 75 points if a person is an MBA or the English language requirement is also a lot more inflexible.
